A growing, well‑established Wealth Advisory and Investment firm in the western Metro Detroit area is seeking a Client Services Associate (CSA) to join their expanding team. What You Will Do
Deliver Exceptional Client Service
- Serve as a day‑to‑day resource for clients, addressing service needs, questions, and account‑related requests.
- Support Portfolio Managers with client inquiries, cash needs, and trade‑related actions.
- Prepare client correspondence, meeting materials, and quarterly performance reports.
- Attend client meetings in a support capacity and assist with annual ADV delivery communications.
Lead Account Onboarding & Maintenance
- Facilitate new client onboarding, including account setup, transfer coordination, and preparation of required documentation.
- Process account paperwork, updates, beneficiary changes, and service forms.
- Coordinate asset transfers and money movement requests with custodians.
- Maintain accurate client records within CRM and portfolio accounting systems.
- Process distributions, EFTs, journaling, demographic updates, and other account transactions.
Support Custodial & Operational Workflows
- Monitor and resolve service requests and account activity with Schwab and RBC.
- Review Schwab alerts and ensure timely completion of required actions.
- Enter daily trades and make adjustments to RBC trades when needed.
- Download and file monthly statements and trade confirmations.
- Communicate with custodial service teams regarding account maintenance and operational issues.
Contribute to Reporting, Billing & Compliance
- Prepare quarterly performance reports, including AUM, gains/losses, and benchmark comparisons.
- Process monthly management fees and deposit fee checks.
- Prepare quarterly compliance training letters and track signatures.
- Support investment research and cost‑basis analysis.
Assist with Special Projects & Administrative Support
- Manage class‑action settlement processing, including claim preparation and documentation.
- Generate reports, spreadsheets, and client documents.
- Assist with operational projects and periodic administrative initiatives.
- Provide backup coverage for the Executive Assistant and ensure workflow continuity.
- Monitor follow‑ups, identify discrepancies, and escalate issues appropriately.
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 2+ years of experience in wealth management, RIA operations, or financial services support roles preferred.
- Proficiency with spreadsheets, CRM systems, and financial services software.
- Self‑directed work style with strong initiative and problem‑solving ability.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in all client and operational tasks.
- Strong organizational and follow‑through skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- High level of discretion and professionalism when handling confidential information.
